The answer that broke free of Lachlan's throat was something between a gasp and moan, but he threw his head back against the pillows instead of stopping me, so I took that as a sign that it was okay for me to continue my exploration.

I rose up to my knees and straddled his hips, pretending not to notice the hard cotton-encased cock that was pressing up against the sensitive skin behind my balls. "This isn't a good idea," Lachlan managed to say, holding me in place with little effort. "I should get you home."

I sighed.

"So, you're celibate because you're not planning on mating?" I asked, trying to understand his reasoning.

"No! Of course, I'm not," Lachlan snorted with a laugh.

So, he thought I was hot and he wasn't celibate, but he didn't want to sleep with me? Confused, I waited to see if he would continue. After a few minutes, he did.

"I don't get the feeling that you actually engage in casual sex," he finally said softly. "Am I wrong?"

That took me by surprise and made me blush to the top of my hair.

"Well, no," I admitted. "Not usually, but that doesn't mean we can't." I tried to assure him. "I'm not expecting you to claim me."

Silence. Then more silence.

"Why were you really at that bar?" He finally asked.

"You know the answer to that," I reminded him. "You know I didn't lie."

"True," Lachlan acknowledged. "You really were there looking for a random hook-up?"

I nodded, knowing he'd see me even in the dark.

"If you're not interested, I guess I can always try again." Lachlan's body tensed under me, and I stifled a laugh.
